Materials Accepted

Quicksilver Recycling Services will accept a wide range of waste and obsolete electronic equipment (E-waste). An exception is equipment that contains a radioactive substance or is contaminated with waste not related to electronics such as toxic or flammable liquids and biological waste.

Accepted electronic equipment will be processed using a variety of processes to assure it is properly disposed of or recycled. Quicksilver does not landfill or incinerate electronic equipment nor do we export in-tact non working equipment to developing non O.E.C.D. countries. To ensure data security all hard drives will be either data wiped using the Department of Defense standard three pass process 5220.22.M or they will be physically destroyed.

QRS contracts with its clients in a number of ways in the recycling of electronics. Based on volume, frequency, location and item classification.
